Thornton Fractional South's varsity baseball team demonstrated determination and progress in a closely contested 3-0 loss to Bremen on Thursday. The game was characterized by exceptional pitching and narrow margins.

Junior Chris Rodriguez delivered a strong performance on the mound, keeping Bremen scoreless through five innings and maintaining control for much of the game. According to reports, the defense, led by freshmen Anthony De Leon and Ronaldo Ledezma, supported him effectively in one of Thornton Fractional South's cleanest performances of the season.

"I just wanted to give my team a chance and keep us in it," Rodriguez said following his impressive outing.

Freshman and senior leadership were evident throughout the game. De Leon's aggressive baserunning took advantage of errors, while senior Ryan Marnell and sophomore Eric Talbert initiated a seventh-inning rally that nearly changed the outcome. Junior Michael Evans Jr. contributed with a crucial hit to load the bases.

With two outs and the tying run on base, Thornton Fractional South came close to achieving a comeback victory. "We've been growing all year, and this was a great baseball game," said Head Coach Amir Wright. "Now it's playoff time — and everyone's record is 0-0. We're ready."

Despite falling short, the Red Wolves' efforts conveyed a clear message: they are not finished yet.
