Thornton Fractional South’s boys bowling team delivered a strong postseason showing, winning the South Suburban Blue Conference title and advancing to the IHSA Sectional after a runner-up finish at the Rich Sectional on Jan. 16.
According to reports, junior Miles Parker led the Red Wolves throughout the postseason. He finished second individually at the sectional with a six-game average of 220.8 and a high game of 269. Parker’s consistent performance provided TF South with a reliable anchor, maintaining a 200-plus average across all six games and ranking among the tournament’s top scorers.
The team also benefited from significant contributions by Tavarese Phillips-Henley, who averaged 193.8 over six games, Malik Green at 185.7, and Dawson Coleman at 182.3. This balanced scoring enabled TF South to remain competitive for the sectional title and secure advancement.
TF South’s sectional showing concluded a season marked by a conference championship and steady improvement throughout winter. The Red Wolves combined strong team pinfall with multiple high individual series, marking one of their most successful postseason runs in recent years. With Parker leading and several underclassmen providing depth, TF South emerged as one of the top teams in the South Suburban area, carrying momentum into sectional competition.
