Thornton Fractional South emerged victorious against Blue Island Eisenhower with a 2-0 win on Tuesday night, achieving scores of 25-7 and 25-22 in a South Suburban Conference matchup.
The match occurred on October 14, 2025, at Thornton Fractional South High School in Lansing. The Red Wolves controlled the early play to secure their 25th win of the season.
Senior Earehc’ Hill led the Red Wolves’ offensive efforts with eight kills on 23 attempts and added four digs. Sophomore Layla Smith contributed six kills and ten digs, while junior Candace Irvin provided three kills and a team-high of 17 assists. On defense, sophomore Romina Calderon anchored the back row with nine digs, and Smith excelled in serve receive with 12 perfect passes. The Red Wolves’ serve game was also pivotal, recording eight team aces and a service percentage of 85.7.
According to previous records, when the two teams met earlier this season, Thornton Fractional South secured another straight-set victory, winning by scores of 25-10 and 25-19, continuing their dominance in the series.
