Thornton Fractional South’s girls wrestling team earned a pair of convincing victories, defeating Bremen 47-18 and Evergreen Park 32-20 in a strong showing that highlighted the team’s depth across the lineup.
The duals took place on January 15, as the Red Wolves competed in consecutive matchups on their home mats, maintaining control throughout both contests. According to reports, against Bremen, Caylan Guyton (120) and Abibatu Mogaji (125) delivered pins to give TF South early momentum. Mya Coffey (155) added a technical fall with a dominant performance. Additional points were obtained through forfeits from Dakodia Kelly (105), Shaniya Tharp Thomas (110), Aracely Stevens (115), and Zion Dent (145), allowing the Red Wolves to build a substantial lead.
TF South carried that energy into the second matchup versus Evergreen Park. Guyton continued her strong night with another pin at 120, while Kelly produced a technical fall at 105. Tatum Davis earned a major decision at 145, and Stevens battled through overtime for a 7-4 win at 115. Tharp Thomas (110) and Mogaji (125) both collected forfeits, sealing the 32-20 team victory. The sweep reflected the Red Wolves’ balance, with contributions coming from every part of the lineup and multiple wrestlers finding success by fall, technical fall, and decision.
