Thornton Fractional South RedWolves delivered a statement on Thursday, decisively defeating Bulls College Prep with a 5-0 shutout. This victory ended a five-game losing streak for the team.
According to head coach Aaron Zambrano, “We knew it would be a tough match, but we controlled it early and never let up.” The RedWolves’ performance was marked by sophomore Lucia Terrazas setting the tone with an early goal, followed by sophomore Alysya Morrow scoring three first-half goals. Zambrano said, “The girls executed exactly what we’ve worked on.”
Senior defender Yanetzi Alba contributed to the win with a free-kick goal in the second half. Despite several saves by Bulls goalkeeper Sadie Weaver, the RedWolves maintained their offensive pressure. Freshman Romina Calderon added energy and created multiple near-goals.
