T.F. South girls’ basketball team is embarking on a new season with enthusiasm and a focus on continuous improvement under the guidance of head coach Eric Bryce.
According to Bryce, the Red Wolves have adopted a growth-oriented approach centered around the principle of being “better than yesterday.” The team’s practices and early games have emphasized building team chemistry, enhancing defensive discipline, and improving execution across all positions. These efforts aim to lay a strong foundation for the upcoming months.
A significant asset for T.F. South is its experienced senior class, which brings maturity, communication skills, and steady leadership both on and off the court. This year’s seniors include Gigi Dillon (5’11”, SF/PF), Tolu Babalola (SG), Khyla Whitfield (5’7″, SF), Paiton Day (SF), G’yah Capers (5’9″, SG/SF), Sharmaine Averhart (C), and Nila Mathis (5’10”, C).
All seven seniors are in contact with college coaches, positioning themselves to sign with collegiate programs by the end of the season if they choose to pursue that path.
As the Red Wolves progress through their early-season schedule and approach conference play, they remain dedicated to growth, consistency, and enhancing their performance each time they take to the court.
