The Thornton Fractional South boys swimming team turned in several solid individual performances at the 24th Annual Shepard Invitational, competing against a deep field and posting multiple personal-best swims.
According to reports, Malik Harb led the Red Wolves by placing 12th in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 26.99 seconds and finishing eighth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:00.33, marking the team’s top individual placement at the meet. Harb accounted for six of the team’s total points and posted National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA) consideration times in both sprint events.
Princeton Harb also contributed significantly with his performance in the 200-yard individual medley, swimming a time of 2:35.92 to place eighth. He additionally competed in the 100-yard butterfly, finishing with a time of 1:11.59. Joaquin Terrazas recorded a time of 34.27 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle, while Aiden Kleidon participated in both the 100-yard freestyle (1:20.41) and the 200-yard freestyle (3:10.63).
Overall, Thornton Fractional swimmers achieved six personal bests out of seven total swims, reflecting an impressive personal-best rate of 86 percent. These performances underscore continued improvement across their lineup as they prepare for the final stretch of their season.
