TF United’s varsity girls soccer team experienced a week of highs and lows, splitting two games in tournament and conference play.
On Monday, April 14, TF United edged out Crete-Monee 2-1 in the BodyArmor Sports Series Tournament. Lucia Terrazas led the way, scoring both goals for United. Alyysa Morrow and Vanessa Munoz each contributed with an assist, helping United secure a hard-fought victory.
The win was a strong start to the week for United, showcasing their teamwork and resilience against a competitive Crete-Monee squad. Terrazas’ performance highlighted her growing role as a key offensive player for the team.
However, United faced a tougher challenge on Thursday, April 17, when they took on Argo in South Suburban Conference action. United fell 7-0 in a difficult matchup where Argo’s offensive pressure proved overwhelming.
Despite the loss, Terrazas continued to stand out, recording seven saves in goal and preventing the margin from growing even wider. Her effort in the net showed grit and determination, even as Argo controlled much of the possession.
TF United looks to bounce back in its next contest as the team continues its conference schedule and tournament play this spring season.
