The Red Wolves secured a 2–1 victory against Richards in a competitive three-set match, held at Thornton Fractional South High School in Lansing on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. The home team showcased determination and skill throughout the game.
According to the match report, T.F. South began with a strong performance in the first set, led by senior captain Earehc’ Hill and sophomore Layla Smith. They claimed the opener with a score of 25–22. Richards countered with a close win in the second set, ending 28–26, which led to a decisive third set.
Hill contributed significantly to the Red Wolves’ success with 14 kills and effective net play. Smith supported her team with seven kills and 12 digs. Junior setter Candace Irvin played a crucial role by providing 23 assists during key moments of the match. Brooklyn Maxie and Romina Calderon were instrumental in defense, combining for 17 digs and crucial serve receives.
“This was a true team win,” said head coach M. Brewe. “The girls showed heart, composure, and focus when the pressure was highest. Every player contributed in a big way, and this win reflects the work they’ve been putting in all season.”
With this victory, T.F. South’s record improves to 10–8 as they prepare for their next game against Blue Island Eisenhower on Tuesday, October 14, at 6 p.m.
