Thornton Fractional South’s girls volleyball team achieved a decisive victory over Tinley Park on Tuesday, winning in straight sets with scores of 25-20 and 25-13.
According to the match report, the Red Wolves displayed strong offensive and defensive skills, with several players making significant contributions. Sophomore Layla Smith recorded one ace and 11 digs. She ranks fourth in the state for aces and first in her conference. Her serving remains a crucial asset for Thornton Fractional South (TFS).
Earech Hill added eight kills and 10 digs, showcasing both offensive power at the net and reliable defensive coverage. Romina Calderon anchored the back row with 20 digs, helping maintain momentum throughout the match.
“This team is clicking on all fronts,” said the TFS coach. “Our players are showing great energy and focus, and it’s paying off in every set.”
