The Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves defeated the Joliet Central Steelmen 16-15 in a varsity softball non-conference game on April 1, according to MaxPreps.
The game took place at Thornton Fractional South High School.
The closely contested game featured high offensive output from both teams. The Red Wolves outlasted Joliet Central in a back-and-forth contest, putting up 16 runs to secure the win. Joliet Central scored 15 runs, but Thornton Fractional South held on late to complete the narrow victory.
Up next, Thornton Fractional South is scheduled to play at Thornton Fractional North in a conference doubleheader on Monday, May 4, at 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., according to MaxPreps.
